So, of course, we had to go out and play in it. But, of course, we have no snow clothes for Cooper. So, we had to improvise. Here is him all bundled up waiting to go out.
I thought that it was neat to see our footprints in the snow, so here is a pic of us making our mark. (I got to wear my snow boots!)
The funny thing is, all Cooper cared about was getting on his tricycle. It has been too cold and rainy lately to play outside, and clearly he has missed time on the trike, b/c he could care less about the snow - he just wanted to ride.
Now, the good stuff. By morning, it looked like this:
So, Alex joined some other dads from our neighborhood and took Cooper sledding. Again, we had to bundle him all up in random non-snow clothes, but it was well worth it. They had a blast!
All by himself!
We actually don't have real sleds here, but one of the dads brought some inflatable pool toys that were just right for the kids. Of course, today, all the snow is melted and we are just back to boring old brown winter. But for the 36 hours or so while it lasted, we had our own little winter wonderland, and I was finally able to actually wear my snow boots. Hooray and Thank you, Jesus, for the little things that tell us how much you love us. Like snow.
